§ What comes back

Enough to cite, never a paraphrase

Each hit is one provision. The fields below are the contract; a model can quote section.text and point at url without inventing anything.

FieldWhat it holds
section.textThe provision as the official source published it, in the source language. Gazette-style sources keep their own markup.
section.num_labelThe label to cite: 第二十条, § 66, section-239, Article L1234-1.
section.heading_pathWhere the provision sits: part / chapter / heading, as written in the act.
section.languageBCP 47 tag of the text. Filter or route translation on it.
section.is_authoritativefalse marks a non-binding version, such as an official translation.
work.legal_forcein_force, repealed, not_yet_in_force, or unknown when the source does not state it.
work.source_urls · urlThe official publication to link to. Every hit has one.

§ Coverage

54 jurisdictions, one schema

Counts are laws in the live index. Each jurisdiction is imported from its own official publisher and kept in its own language.

Bars are on a square-root scale so the long tail stays visible next to Italy and France. Jurisdictions still being imported are listed on the coverage page, along with how to ask for one.

§ Pricing

Pay for what you query

A search costs 4 credits, a single work or section fetch costs 1. Billing is off during the beta; the free tier is the floor, not a trial.

§ Why it exists

Built for agents that must not guess

Original text is canonical

We store the provision as published and return it unchanged. Translation, summarisation and ranking sit on top, never in the record.

Legal force on every hit

work.legal_force travels with the provision, so a repealed section cannot pass as current law.

An official link on every hit

Each result points at the government publication it came from. Citations resolve to the source, not to us.
